Seven Myths of Deer Hunting Debunked by Sarah Kirk

Deer hunters may be brought down by things they shouldn't even be worrying about, and things that may have kept them from that monster buck in the past. Many things that some hunters believe are just myths. Fear no more, seven of the top deer hunting myths debunked!

Myth: You can never win a battle over a deer's, eyes, ears, and nose.

Truth: It isn't difficult to defeat the eyes and ears. To do this all you have to do is wear your camo over as much of your body as possible and remain still. The hardest thing to overcome is a deer's keen sense of smell. If you have the time in the morning, take a shower with scent free soap and keep your clothes sealed away from your everyday clothes.  Make sure to wear scent eliminator sprays to cover your scent.  Also, consider the wind direction in contrast to your stand or ground position.
