After recently purchasing my new camera (Canon T1i) I ventured out to take do some nature photography. The photo you see here is a fawn (or yearling) Whitetail deer. It was taken at one of the small but heavily wooded parks near where I live in southeast Michigan. In the parks there are asphalt trails made for bicycling and walking but if you venture off the beaten path into the woods it is teeming with wildlife. I’ve come to know the areas where the Whitetail deer hang out in the neighborhood parks now so I’ve taken a lot of photographs of this Whitetail deer and many others on several occasions. Due to the large amounts of people walking the trails these deer have gotten quite acclimated to human presence making them great subjects for some nature photography!
